Dutch Mill Gardens has researched and purchased a new and innovative technology that will allow them to increase the value of their local products!!
We have purchased a Vacuum Cooler, a technology already used in Europe to cool all their floral products. With use of this vacuum cooler, we will be able to suck the field heat right out of our products almost instantly, increasing the shelf life of our products, and preventing any premature breakdown of the flower. We are able to market a local product to our customers that is capable of withstanding longer shipment duration's, and providing great value and the upmost quality of our product.
Ontario Beekeeper Association
Dutch Mill Gardens works with organizations within Ontario’s beekeeping industry, including the Ontario Beekeepers’ Association, to support the health and sustainability of honey bee populations. These organizations help promote responsible beekeeping practices, support research on honey bee health, and provide education and resources that strengthen the pollination services essential to agriculture.
Honey bees play a critical role in crop production by pollinating flowering plants, helping ensure healthy plant growth and strong yields. By working with local beekeepers and supporting initiatives that protect pollinators, Dutch Mill Gardens helps maintain a balanced agricultural ecosystem while supporting the long-term sustainability of farming in Ontario. Healthy bee populations play a critical role in pollinating flowering crops, supporting strong plant development, improved flower quality, and a balanced agricultural ecosystem.
Christian Farmers Federation of Ontario
Dutch Mill Gardens is a member of the Christian Farmers Federation of Ontario (CFFO), an accredited farm organization representing more than 4,000 farm families across Ontario. The CFFO advocates on behalf of farmers by working with government and industry leaders to develop policies that support sustainable agriculture, protect farmland, and ensure farmers receive fair returns for their production.
As a member of the Christian Farmers Federation of Ontario (CFFO), Dutch Mill Gardens is part of a strong network of farmers and industry professionals across the province, supporting responsible land stewardship, long-term sustainability, and family-run farms. The CFFO promotes economic, social, and environmental sustainability through policies grounded in Christian stewardship, with a focus on farmland preservation, soil health, water stewardship, and agri-food sector success, while advocating on a wide range of issues affecting Ontario agriculture.
